I love to think about words, talk about words, and arrange words in interesting ways. I love to ‘worry my words’ until they’re doing the work I want them to do. And I love to work with others to craft words into clear messages.

I specialise in translating complex concepts into plain language – through writing and editing, facilitated meetings, research, and writing training. Most of my work is in the government, community, and university sectors.

You may notice I’m a fan of the serial comma. I also like to start sentences with ‘and’. But I won’t impose either on you if they’re not to your taste.

‘You have been consistent, persistent and resilient in what has been a challenging, if not frustrating, role.’
